I’m Kira Rosemarie.

I’m a poet, writer, witch, and artist. I live in Washington, D.C., with my husband, my cat Duchess, and my dog Marchesa.

WitchLit is a place to talk about the craft of writing and writing the craft, featuring interviews with pagan and occult authors of fiction and nonfiction and hosted by Victoria Raschke. I join Victoria to talk about poetry, inspiration, editing, and Moon/Season.

The Fang

A literary and artistic exploration of life through a witch's lens.

  • the rebis

I’m sharing the first part of my interview with Hannah Levy, founder and editor of The Rebis, a magazine publishing writing and art related to tarot. She’s created a wonderful community of creatives and witches who believe in resistance.

  • tarantula studio

When I met with Virginia, two things struck me: 1) I’ve been following her so long it felt like I was meeting a celebrity, and 2) She was just so enthusiastic to share her work, her clients, and her motivations.

  • medieval chivalry

Maybe it’s just my feed. I’ve always been a sucker for tales of medieval chivalry and terror alike, and witchy crowds always love some good woodcuts and Middle-Ages-inspired fantasy settings.
